PAWS to open the 2008 MOE Awards!

Tuesday, June 17th

We are so excited that we have been asked to open the 2008 MOE awards by performing 'Hairspray' (we won the MATS Junior Talent Search with it last year).

For those of you who don’t know it, the MOE awards are the dance and entertainment awards given to those in Australia who are professionals in the industry.

Every company, from the Australian Ballet to the Sydney Dance Company, choreographers, agents and performers will be there!

Student choreography & improvisation competition

Saturday, May 10th — at Nepean High School

PAWS will be running a student choreography competition and private lesson concert fundraising event, with all funds going back to the kids. This is open to all students in the school and we hope you will all support the day. We have some great prizes to give out.

You can enter the student choreography section either by yourself or as a duo or trio. You can also enter the improvisation section, which is where we play a piece of music and you make up a dance on the spot. Click here or on PDF icon to download form.

Please return the entry form and your fees back to the parents committee by the end of the term. There is a black box in the office, in which you can put anything to do with fundraising including your entry forms.

That evening we will also be holding a private lesson and showgroup concert, which will involve all showgroups. This is a great chance for all your family and friends to come along and see our talented kids perform.

The event will be held at Nepean High School on the second Saturday of term 2. Entry is $5 per item and you can enter as many times as you like. Different levels and age groups will be divided into sections. Remember whether you do one class a week or ten classes a week you are all welcome to enter and get a chance to perform!
